Iranian F-14 Tomcat Units in Combat (Sequel)

汤姆.库珀:

"伊拉克人在1980年有25……24架米格-25,12架是米格-25P截击机,12架是米格-25RB侦察轰炸机。"

过了近10年,米格-25又回到了伊朗的天空上。

汤姆.库珀:

"第一支伊拉克部队……装备米格-25的作战部队……是拥有几架米格-25RB的第87中队。这支部队从1982年春起开始在哈克岛上空飞行,而且在他们的任务里,起初主要是对岛上的设施进行照相侦察。"

Tom Cooper:

"Iraqis have got 25…24 MiG-25s in 1980, 12 of these were MiG-25P interceptors, and 12 were MiG-25RB reconnaissance bombers."

After nearly a decade, the MiG-25s was to return to Iranian air spaces.

Tom Cooper:

"The first Iraqi Unit…MiG-25 unit became operational…with MiG-25 was No 87 Sqn which flew MiG-25RBs. This unit began flying over Khark Island during the spring of 1982, and in the course of its missions, it initially was mainly taking photographs of the installations on that island."

萨迪格普尔就是首先在雷达上发现一架米格-25的飞行员。

沙赫拉姆.罗斯塔米(F-14飞行员):

"萨迪格普尔飞行的那天正值伊拉克米格-25首次入侵哈克岛,但是他们无法追上它。他们尝试过了,但是没有机会,没人想过米格-25可以飞到边境的这一侧,在他们降落后,每一个人都回去翻书,寻找如何去拦截一架米格-25的方法!"

Sadeghpour was the first one to see a MiG-25 on his radar.

Gen Shahram Rostami(F-14 Pilot):

"Mr Sadeghpour was flying the day an Iraqi MiG-25 came to Khark for the first time. But they couldn't catch it. They tried but they didn't have a chance. No one thought MiG-25s would come over to this side of the border. After they returned to the base, everybody went to read up on their training textbooks on how to catch a MiG-25!"

每一次伊朗飞行员试图拦截米格-25,它都会加速并逃离F-14的追击。阿里阿斯伽尔.雅罕巴克什少校就是那些试着拦截这种经典战机的其中一人。

阿里阿斯伽尔.雅罕巴克什将军(F-14飞行员):

"我的任务就是监视德黑兰的天空,在卡兹文、马拉耶尔、伽拉维这三座德黑兰西部的城市之间。那时我得知有一架飞机正在向伊斯法罕飞去,我只花了8分钟就飞到了德里间!在德里间。我注意道我的飞行速度达到2000千米/小时,而且咬着它不放,终于在阿巴西大坝上方追上了它。战斗已经开始,我现在就是头对头地飞来,他在我11点钟方向上,我试着将我置于这个位置(面对面),我们继续飞行,但他在我的射程范围之外,"

Every time Iranian pilots try to engage MiG-25, it would accelerate go up and flee the F-14s. Maj Aliasghar Jahanbakhsh was one of those who try to fight the allusive bird.

Gen Aliasghar Jahanbakhsh(F-14 Pilot):

"My mission was to watch over Tehran's sky. Around between Qazvin, Malayer and Gharave three cities west of Tehran. That was when I heard a plane flying toward Isfahan. I flew to Delijan in 8 minutes! In Delijan, I noticed I am flying at about 2000km per hour. I chased it and caught up with him on Abbasi dam. The fight had begun. We were not exactly head to head. He was at 11 o'clock angle with me. I tried to position myself like this(face to face). We continued to flight but he was out of my range. "

F-14飞行员阿里阿斯伽尔.雅罕巴克什将军介绍他追击米格-25的经验。

当时伊朗处在东西方的联合封锁下,因此更换零配件和远程不死鸟导弹是空想,不用不死鸟导弹就想去赶跑一架米格-25也是可以的。

阿里阿斯伽尔.雅罕巴克什:

"我无法击中它,但是它也无法完成他的人物,他飞不到伊斯法罕这里。"

然后,那名伊拉克飞行员犯下了一个代价惨重的错误。

阿里阿斯伽尔.雅罕巴克什:

"他没有向右转,而是向左转,朝俄国飞去。后来阿拉伯的报纸说一架米格-25坠毁在土耳其的万湖附近。也许是我们的一些炮弹碎片击中了它,或者它的油料耗尽了。然而,那天有一架米格-25坠毁了!"

Iran was under sanction form both western and eastern blocks, so replace the stocks of long range Phoenix missiles was out of the question. That was wide with deemed success to naturalize a MiG-25 without sparring a Phoenix.

Gen Aliasghar Jahanbakhsh:

"I couldn't hit him but he didn't get to do his mission neither. He couldn't hit Isfahan."

Then, the Iraqi pilot made a costly mistake.

Gen Aliasghar Jahanbakhsh:

"Instead of turning right, he turned left… toward Russia. Later, Arabic newspapers wrote about a MiG-25 crashed around Lake Van in Turkey. Some of our bullets might have hit him or he might have simply run out of fuel. Nevertheless, a MiG-25 crashed that day!"
